Peace Beneath the Surface

Another set of grief rolls in
breaking near the shoreline
Each wave toppling into the next
I drop down below
Below the tumult and the sea foam
Enveloped in the quiet abyss under the sea
It is then I begin to understand life beneath the surface
Unmoved by the happenings that lie beyond the break between the air and sea
Separated by mere hydrogen atoms,
Yet worlds a part
One only need to dive down beneath the seen
There you will find me
Full of awe and wonder as I am gently rocked to sleep
There you will find me.
